I’ve Taken The Plunge

by Admin on October 1, 2017

This evening I held my breath and posted on Facebook that my site was now live.

What’s the worst that can happen? I’ll be laughed into next Tuesday, that’s what, but I have to put a different perspective on this. I’m taking another big breath (if I don’t stop I’m going to hyperventilate) and shrug my shoulders. It is what it is and I need feedback, good or bad, in order to improve and eventually, hopefully, get published.

So this is the first step. It’s a huge one but it’s done and now I can concentrate on writing!

Some people might recognize the beginnings of Wrath of Mool. That’s because I posted the beginning chapters of the first draft a number of years ago. Since then, I’ve edited quite a bit and rearranged the plot countless times.

The Wrath of Mool will be free right to the end. It is my prototype book and I’m putting it out there, warts and all, to get this writing thing going. Obviously I haven’t a clue, right? But I have to jump in and learn to swim. Or write. You get the picture.

So I’m hoping my two subscribers enjoy the site and the upcoming stories. Cheers!

First Post

by Admin on September 25, 2017

Well, I’m waiting to see if I’ve bitten off more than I can chew.

I barely got my website up and running and the first installment of Wrath of Mool posted when I decided to take the devil by the horns and resurrect my blogging career as well.

After looking over WP’s lovely array of website templates, all of which one apparently has to pay for except the very mundane ‘year versions’, I decided to go with Thesis at DIY Themes again. The Thesis 1 because the Thesis 2 confused the hell out of me giving me the vague feeling I might have to learn php or somesuch. I ran the other way and dug up my old copy of, I think 1.8, which I eventually found on that same flash drive that was knocking around in the junk drawer.

Thank God for junk drawers!

Anyway, as you can see, the blog is still in the beginning stages but it will come along day by day.  For instance, today I managed to figure out how to set the permissions and also how to make it so the permalinks will make sense. Yay!

So that’s a lot of writing venue I have to play with now. The website is up and running, and now so is the blog. Both have some tweaking to be done but once that’s done, all I’ll have to do is write stuff for them.

How boring!
